Getting Bolder: Liberal Radio Host Says it's Time to Stop Running from 'Socialism

"We must shout words like Socialist and Liberal from the rooftops..."

His radio show is called "Mad as Hell in America." And host Adam Klugman is definitely that. Why? Because he's sick and tired of liberals running from the term "socialism." According to him, the ideology has done so much good.

PRWEB.com explains (emphasis added):

In a scorching opening monologue for his weekly progressive talk radio show “Mad As Hell in America,” host Adam Klugman got very close to microphone and declared with out an apology: “I am Liberal. And I want to talk about Socialism” Even his progressive listeners fired back, calling in to ask if Mr. Klugman if he had ever read “Mein Kampf.”

“I was surprised by that reaction,” Klugman declares, “but that’s typical of the problem. People have been brainwashed by the right into associating Socialism with Nazi Germany and Stalinist Russia and not with free, highly successful democratic nations like Norway, Finland and the Belgium. And that’s why I said it. Because I believe it’s time for us to stop making up nice words to describe ourselves so Republicans will tolerate us. Liberal is not a bad word. And neither is Socialist. The fact that we’ve completely given up on these ideas demonstrates a defensive mindset that always keeps us on the losing side.”

You can listen to the rant below, in which Klugman also says, "We must shout words like Socialist and Liberal from the rooftops until we are not afraid of ourselves anymore:"

Klugman's show airs Saturdays from 3-6pm on Portland’s AM 620 KPOJ.
