"I'd advocate that people get tased"
In what marks the fourth time this year that a rambunctious fan has run around the field in the middle of a game, a bare-chested individual ran onto the Camden Yards field in the middle of the seventh inning during the Orioles' 5-2 loss Friday night, managing to get so far that he slid face-first into home plate.
The crowds went wild. Cheering him on throughout the performance, they seemed to be his biggest fans-- that is, until he was tackled to the ground by umpire Jeff Kellogg. Then, the crowd really gave up a cheer.
Unfortunately for the authoritative umpire, reports say Major League Baseball officials are unlikely to be as impressed with the hit as the roaring fans. In all likelihood, he will see some degree of disciplinary action.
Orioles center fielder Adam Jones commended Kellogg, despite the possible punishment: "I'm sick and tired of these guys running on the field, man," he said.
"I'd [advocate] that people get Tased. I'd enjoy that...You don't run on the field and just disturb a game that's going on. It's private property."
