Watch: Taco Bell’s new $1 item means you won’t have to choose between fries and tacos
January 04, 2018
What’s going on?
Have a hard time deciding between fries and tacos? Soon, you won’t have to. Taco Bell has been testing seasoned French fries and a fry-stuffed burrito at some locations, and the restaurant chain is planning to add fries to the menu nationwide later this month.
On today’s show, Pat and Jeffy were thrilled to talk about this story.
“Fries, some nacho cheese, and three or four tacos,” Jeffy listed his dream order. “You’re pretty much good.”
When will fries come to my Taco Bell location?
Fries with a “bold Mexican seasoning” (according to Taco Bell’s PR) are slated to launch on every Taco Bell menu on Jan. 25. The $1 fry will come with nacho cheese for dipping. If you upgrade to a “Supreme” or “Grande” fry, you can add seasoned ground beef, pico de gallo, sour cream and other fixings.
What else should I know?
Taco Bell’s fries – or at least the $1 version – may be limited edition. The company says the $1 price point is for a limited time only but hasn’t specified when that time will run out or whether the standalone fries will still be available.
