'Roaming Millennial' Lauren Chen: My generation favors socialism because 'they don't understand that things can get significantly worse'
December 05, 2018
"If you think this is awful, you have not seen anything."
Lauren Chen, host of the CRTV show "Roaming Millennial: Uncensored," joined Glenn Beck in the studio to talk about the merger between TheBlaze and CRTV. They also discussed conservatism, socialism, and why millennials advocate for bigger government.
Asked by Glenn to describe the millennial generation, Lauren answered, "In my opinion, we are well educated, a lot of us have degrees. We are entrepreneurial. Which is something that's interesting because, as much as we tend toward socialism -- which absolutely most millennials do -- we are also more of a self-starting generation than previous generations. It's not that we're that great, it's just through technology we just have the greater means to do it."
Lauren, who was born in Canada and raised in Hong Kong, added that most millennials don't realize how good things really are in America. "Because we're so used to having things so great, so amazing ... we're so used to having things going our way that we almost can't imagine a way that it's not working out," Lauren explained. "They don't understand that things can get significantly worse. If you think this is awful, you have not seen anything."
