On Friday, Lauren Chen discussed why passing legislation to ensure African Americans received reparations would "open a can of worms that there is no end to."

Using women as an example, Chen pointed to voting rights as being a likely avenue used to demand payout in a court of law.

"If we do this for black people, where does it end," Chen asked rhetorically.

She later added that the Chinese are people who were systemically discriminated against in the US so there is no end to the list of groups who would demand government payouts.
