Stormy Daniels passed lie detector test about her alleged affair with Trump: report

Adult film actress Stormy Daniels reportedly passed a 2011 lie detector test regarding her alleged affair with President Donald Trump, NBC News reported Tuesday.

What are the details?

According to NBC News, an independent examiner signed a sworn declaration that Daniels — whose real name is Stephanie Clifford — passed the test with a 99 percent probability that she told the truth.

The test purportedly revealed that Clifford was telling the truth when she alleged that she had unprotected sex with Trump in 2006, just months after his son Barron was born.

When the examiner asked Clifford if she'd had "unprotected," "vaginal" sex with Trump that year, she answered "yes."

Clifford reportedly took the test as requested by InTouch magazine, who, at the time was interviewing her about the alleged affair.

The 2011 InTouch interview didn't initially see the light of day, however. Trump lawyer Michael Cohen reportedly threatened to sue the publication after they'd reached out for comment on Clifford's recollection of the purported incident.

As a result of Cohen's threats, the magazine opted to kill the story. The outlet finally released the interview in January after news of an alleged hush-money deal broke.

Clifford and her attorney are now battling Trump and his personal attorney over a nondisclosure agreement that Clifford reportedly signed in October in exchange for $130,000.

Clifford's attorney Michael Avenatti told NBC News in a statement:

Long before Mr. Trump announced his candidacy for the presidency, Ms. Clifford passed a lie detector test confirming her relationship with Mr. Trump. Where are his test results claiming otherwise? Where are Mr. Cohen’s test results claiming otherwise? When this is over, the American people will know the truth about the relationship and the cover-up.

According to NBC News, neither Cohen nor a White House representative responded to a request for comment on the polygraph results.
