Story behind viral American Airlines 'not real' passenger finally revealed

The woman featured in a viral video clip of an American Airlines passenger saying "that motherf**ker back there is not real" has finally been revealed through police documents, but they offer little explanation as to who or what exactly was not real.

Originally, the woman was shown on video to have said, “I’m telling you, I’m getting the f**k off and there’s a reason why I’m getting the f**k off and everyone can either believe it or they can not believe it."

“I don’t give two f**ks, but I am telling you right now – that motherf**ker back there is not real," videos showed the woman saying.

A police report obtained by the New York Post reportedly stated that 38-year-old Tiffany Gomas was worked up over an argument with relatives, and she accused them of stealing her AirPod wireless headphones.

Gomas also had remarks for other passengers before she headed to the front of the plane: “You can sit on this plane and you can f**king die with them or not. I’m not going to.”

Police wrote that “the female then started claiming the aircraft was not safe and did not want the aircraft to leave due to her believing it would not make it to its destination,” the July 2, 2023, document read.

Because of her statements, flight attendants reportedly "felt the aircraft needed to be rescreened. [The airline manager] explained that the passenger was denied boarding and they wanted her escorted to the public side.”

All passengers were removed from the Fort Worth, Texas, to Orlando, Florida, flight and were screened again, followed by a TSA sweep of the plane.

“TSA personnel arrived at the scene to conduct a full rescreening of the aircraft,” the documents showed. “[The airline manager] gave Gomas a verbal criminal trespass notice, explaining she was denied boarding and needed to depart the secure area.”

Gomas tried to get back on the plane, but she was denied and security escorted her outside the boarding area.

According to police documents, however, she tried to re-enter through TSA multiple times. Eventually, she was found at the terminal entrance waiting for an Uber. Police then gave her a criminal trespass that she refused to sign, and she refused to give her identification.

Gomas was never arrested nor taken into custody.

The woman was identified as a Dallas, Texas, marketing executive who is considered very successful in her field. She was deemed a "rising star" in 2017 according to the Daily Mail and is the founder of her own marketing firm.
