Owner of Burisma reportedly indicated that Hunter Biden 'was stupid,' no smarter than his dog

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) shared damning new details Thursday from the FBI's unclassified FD-1023 document, which the bureau tried desperately to keep out of the hands of the House Oversight Committee.

The details contained therein not only shed more light on the alleged bribery scheme involving President Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, and a Ukrainian business executive, but on how the first son was regarded by those for whom he was apparently tasked to run defense.

"For the better part of a year, I've been pushing the Justice Department (DOJ) and FBI to provide details on its handling of very significant allegations from a trusted FBI informant implicating then-Vice President Biden in a criminal bribery scheme," Grassley said in a statement. "While the FBI sought to obfuscate and redact, the American people can now read this document for themselves—without the filter of politicians or bureaucrats—thanks to brave and heroic whistleblowers."

The June 2020 document details the findings of a confidential human source who had firsthand insights into the Ukrainian energy company Burisma's attempts to expand into the U.S. by merging with a company as well as into the company's attempts to kill a corruption investigation by then-Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin — the prosecutor Joe Biden has bragged about leveraging American aid to have fired.

Of dads and dogs

Last week, Republican lawmakers publicized a 2015 email exchange between Hunter Biden, his business partners Devon Archer and Eric Schwerin, and the executive of Burisma, Vadym Pozharskyi, which revealed that the "ultimate purpose" of Hunter Biden's dealings with the Ukrainian energy company was: to "close down ... any cases/pursuits" against the company's founder.

The document Grassley shared Thursday reveals that there was little faith at the company in Hunter Biden's competence and that he was hired for who his father was, not for what he himself was capable of.

The CHS indicated that he was present for a meeting with Burisma leaders in late 2015, early 2016, during which Vadym Pozharskyi (alternatively spelled Vadim Pojarskii) told executives that Hunter Biden was hired "to protect us, through his dad, from all kinds of problems."

When the topic of purchasing/merging with a U.S.-based company came up, executives wondered aloud why they would need the CHS' help with the possible American expansion when they already had Hunter Biden — whom Joe Biden has claimed to be the "smartest man" he knows — on their board.

Pozharskyi "replied that Hunter Biden was not smart."

The CHS allegedly spoke to Burisma's then-president, Mykola Zlochevsky, on another occasion, during which the executive suggested not to "worry" about the impact of President Joe Biden's ultimatum concerning Shokin, suggesting that "Hunter will take care of all those issues through his dad."

Zlochevsky is a former government official who was under investigation for money laundering by Britain's Serious Fraud Office, reported Reuters.

During a 2016 meeting in Austria, again discussing possible business in America, the CHS allegedly suggested to Zlochevsky that Burisma "should hire 'some normal US oil and gas advisors' because the Bidens have no experience with that business sector."

In response, the Burisma head whom Hunter Biden was ostensibly hired to carry water for reportedly suggested that Hunter Biden "was stupid, and his (Zlochevsky's) dog was smarter."

Despite his disdain for the first son, Zlochevsky made clear that they nevertheless needed to keep Hunter Biden on the board "so everything will be okay."

Money and pressure

The document indicates that the CHS suggested in the 2016 Austrian meeting — where the possibility of buying an American energy company in Texas was raised — that it would "be problematic to raise capital in the US given Shokin's investigation into Burisma as nobody in the US would invest in a company that was the subject of a criminal investigation."

Instead, the CHS recommended litigating the matter in Ukraine and paying "some attorney $50,000."

Zlochevsky allegedly laughed at the CHS' suggestion over the proposed attorney fee, "not because of the small amount, but because the number contained a '5.'"

The CHS reported that the apparent significance of the "5," according to Zlochevsky, was that "it costs 5 (million) to pay one Biden, and 5 (million) to another Biden."

The Burisma president was apparently not overly enthused about these alleged payments to the Bidens, suggesting in a subsequent phone call with the CHS that he had been "pushed to pay" them, further employing Russian slang to underscore that these payments were coerced.

During this phone call, during which Zlochevsky bemoaned former President Donald Trump's 2016 electoral victory, the Burisma head supposedly admitted to having "many text messages and 'recordings' that show he was coerced to make such payments."

In a 2019 telephone call with the CHS, Zlochevsky allegedly indicated he "did not send any funds directly" to Joe Biden, whom he referred to with the moniker the "Big Guy."

Zlochevsky appears to be the same Burisma executive who kept 17 secret audio recordings of his alleged conversations with Hunter Biden and Joe Biden., as reported by TheBlaze.

Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa indicated that he had kept the recordings as an "insurance policy."

Inquiring minds want to know

"The FBI’s Biden Bribery Record tracks closely with the evidence uncovered by the Oversight Committee’s Biden family influence peddling investigation. In the FBI’s record, the Burisma executive claims that he didn’t pay the ‘big guy’ directly but that he used several bank accounts to conceal the money," said House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.). "That sounds an awful lot like how the Bidens conduct business: using multiple bank accounts to hide the source and total amount of the money."

"At our hearing with IRS whistleblowers, they testified that they had never seen or heard of this record during the Biden criminal investigation, despite having potentially corroborating evidence. Given the misconduct and politicization at the Department of Justice, the American people must be able to read this record for themselves," said Comer.

The Republican congressman from Kentucky added, "I thank Senator Grassley for providing much needed transparency to the American people. We must hold the Department of Justice accountable for seeking to bury this record to protect the Bidens."

Sen. Grassley said, "What did the Justice Department and FBI do with the detailed information in the document? And why have they tried to conceal it from Congress and the American people for so long? The Justice Department and FBI have failed to come clean, but Chairman Comer and I intend to find out."

In response to Grassley's posting of the document, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) wrote, "Finally, the allegations the American people deserve to see."

Sen. Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.) tweeted, "If this FBI form is accurate, @JoeBiden lied to the American people when he said he had never talked to Hunter Biden about his foreign business dealings—in fact, as VP, he was very involved. @POTUS cannot dodge these pay-for-play questions. The American people deserve answers."

Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.) suggested Grassley "Just exposed the #FBI's attempt to conceal Hunter's peddling his connection to Joe Biden to #Burisma. ... It's time to hold the #BidenCrimeFamily accountable!"
