President Biden slated to give speech that will involve discussion about the supposed assault against rights in the US
August 29, 2022
President Joe Biden is reportedly slated to give a speech in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Thursday in which he will talk about a supposed assault against rights in the United States.
NBC News reported that a White House official noted that the president's remarks will involve discussion about "the continued battle for the soul of the nation." White House correspondent Mike Memoli reported that an official said that the president "will talk about the progress we have made as a nation to protect our democracy, but how our rights and freedoms are still under attack. And he will make clear who is fighting for those rights, fighting for those freedoms, and fighting for our democracy."

Last week, Biden said that "extreme MAGA philosophy" is "like semi-fascism."
The term "MAGA" is an acronym that stands for former President Donald Trump's campaign slogan "Make America Great Again."
During a speech last week, Biden claimed that "MAGA Republicans have awakened ... the women of this nation." He also described MAGA supporters as a threat to "personal rights," as well as to "economic security" and to American democracy.
In response to a tweet echoing the president's comment about women being "awakened" by "MAGA Republicans," some on social media dragged the president by pointing out that leftists have trouble providing a definition for the word "woman."
“@JoeBiden Sir, your party can’t even define what a woman is. You are about to find out the power of a Conservative Latina in America. We will stop the white far left liberals like you from destroying our country! You watch and see!”— Joe Biden (@Joe Biden) 1661695211
Democrats currently have control both chambers of Congress, and hope to cling to that control during the upcoming 2022 midterm election contests.
Last week, the Biden administration announced plans to cancel massive sums of federal student loan debt, a move that has been roundly lambasted by many. The plan would wipe out $10,000 of federal student loan debt for people earning less than $125,000 per year, and $20,000 for people who received Pell Grants. Mike Rowe of "Dirty Jobs" fame blasted the plan, calling it "the biggest pre-Labor Day slap in the face to working people I've ever seen."
