Glenn Beck Shares Emotional Moment Following Chris Kyle Memorial Service

On Monday evening, Glenn Beck attended fallen veteran Chris Kyle's memorial service and shared a few of this thoughts with viewers about a service he described as both "overwhelming" and poignant. He noted that the room was unlike that of any other funeral he had ever attended and was full of "people with valor and honor."

Beck explained that the entire room felt bonded in an unspoken sense of awe and respect for a man who lived his life to help others.

"I attended as someone who just wanted to show their support," Beck said before describing Kyle's wife and family and how difficult it is for young children to lose a parent early in life. As someone who lost his mother at age 13, Beck said he wasn't sure if Kyle's children can yet "understand it so young,"  but that the importance of having had a father "who gave everything" to help others, including fellow vets, is indeed profound.

All of the proceeds from Kyle's book, "American Sniper" are directly used for helping veterans. Beck said that he, too, through his charitable organization Mercury One, will also raise money for veterans in Kyle's honor.
