Trump: 'I authorized my military' to drop the MOAB in Afghanistan

President Donald Trump took questions from the press earlier today about the "mother of all bombs" (MOAB) that was dropped on Afghanistan today, and acknowledged that it was done under full authorization from the Oval Office.

According to Fox News, the MOAB was dropped in the "Nangarhar Province, an eastern area near the Pakistan border, and targeted ISIS tunnel networks." After Trump was finishing up a meeting with I-85 first responders, he was hailed with a volley of questions all centered around the Afghanistan bombing.

"We are so proud of our military. It was another successful event," said Trump.

Upon being asked if he authorized it, Trump responded "everybody knows exactly what happened. What I do, is I authorize my military."

Trump not only acknowledged authorizing the bombing, but he took a shot at the previous administration as well.

"We have given them total authorization. Frankly, that's why they've been so successful lately. If you look at what's happened over the last eight weeks and compare that to what's happened over the last eight years, you'll see there's a tremendous difference," he continued.

He was then asked if this "sends a message to North Korea," to which Trump responded that it doesn't make a difference whether it does or not, but that "North Korea is a problem. The problem will be taken care of."
