Georgetown University program advisory board member resigns after wishing '#metoo moment' on CRTV host Allie Stuckey

Georgetown University Master of Science in Foreign Service Advisory Board member Jeff Bernstein has resigned after wishing CRTV host Allie Stuckey a "#metoo moment" on Twitter. Bernstein was also fired from his job at Solebury Capital.

On Saturday night, Stuckey tweeted using #MeToo, a "trending hashtag used on social media that has given voice to victims of sexual harassment and assault to speak out," IJR reported. Stuckey had retweeted a user who claimed sexual harassment was "a symptom of a broken legal system," arguing instead that it is "a symptom of a broken world."

In response, Bernstein sent a since-deleted tweet at Stuckey saying, "Wishing you a #metoo moment. Maybe then you won't be so insensitive." In other words, Bernstein was hoping for Stuckey to be sexually harassed or worse to teach her a lesson.

Bernstein's comment drew outrage on social media. In a statement to IJR, Georgetown University said, "Encouraging, threatening or condoning violence and harassment against another person, in any form and on any format, is deeply inconsistent with the values of the program, our school and our university," and announced that Bernstein had resigned.

Allie Stuckey told Conservative Review that Bernstein had reached out to her and offered an apology.

"Mr. Bernstein has since sent me a message that I have taken as a sincere apology, and for that I'm grateful," Stuckey said. "Unfortunately, wishing sexual assault or harassment on anyone is not something that can be taken lightly, and I appreciate Georgetown's efforts to remain true to their values."

Georgetown's values are, of course, questionable, given the university's flirtation with radical professors who defend rape as normal and have ties to terrorist organizations.
