Hillary Clinton thinks Orwell's '1984' is a how-to manual

Hillary Clinton believes she would have been called a “genius” if she had won the 2016 election and became president of the United States.

But she would properly be called a tyrant, as excerpts from her new book, “What Happened,” continue to reveal she is incapable of holding herself accountable for her mistakes, loves to blame others, and believes in a fundamentally pro-big government worldview.

For anyone wondering what kind of president Hillary Clinton would be, this exactly wrong reading of George Orwell’s classic “1984” ought to clue you in:

Blind trust in the government is precisely the wrong lesson to take from Orwell’s dystopian novel about an all-powerful government that lies to the people and revises history to consolidate its power and strip the “proles” (everyone who isn’t a member of the controlling party) of their liberties and happiness.

Clinton’s perverse reading of “1984” betrays a worldview that enables the kind of tyranny the novel condemns. What kind of president would that worldview make Hillary Clinton, who famously lied about the 2012 attack on the U.S. embassy in Benghazi, which led to the deaths of four Americans?

Be thankful we’ll never find out.
