Malkin: Border security ‘is not just a single issue,’ it affects ‘every issue’
August 01, 2018
CRTV host Michelle Malkin spoke on Fox and Friends Wednesday to respond to President Trump’s promise to shut down the government again if the border wall is not funded.
“I am glad that President Trump is continuing to draw the line and throw down the gauntlet in front of these beltway GOP establishment types. Border security is a commitment that doesn’t have an expiration date. It is a constitutional duty,” Malkin said.

Malkin also pointed out that having open borders is just as bad for Mexico as it is for the United States, enabling drug cartels to continue to control the border territory.
“It’s not just a ‘single issue,’ it’s every issue. It affects our national security, our public safety, our healthcare, our welfare, our economy. And it is a humanitarian crisis: it’s not just that we don’t want that chaos and anarchy crossing our border, it’s a humanitarian crisis for Mexico as well. And as long as we have an open border, we’re enabling that on their side too,” she said.
It is unclear whether Trump plans to force the border wall funding before or after the midterm elections.
