NY Post cover told the TRUTH about 9/11 and Ilhan Omar's comments. Leftist politicians and journalists are angry about it

Conservative Review

The New York Post responded to Rep. Ilhan Omar's comments about 9/11, and some folks on the Left aren't pleased at all about it.

In response to Omar's recent description of the attack as "some people did something," the newspaper ran a cover with a sobering image of the 2001 terror attack on the World Trade Center that said "Here's your something: 2,977 people dead by terrorism."

While many heralded the newspaper's decision to run the cover, others took issue with it, claiming that it incited violence against Omar and other Muslims and that the Minnesota congresswoman's statement was taken out of context. (It wasn't. At all.)

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., who represents a district in New York City, called the cover "horrifying" and "hateful."

"Shame on them," said Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., who accused the paper of "evoking painful imagery to spread hate and endangering the life of Rep. Omar."

MSNBC's Chris Hayes called the cover "despicable."

Huffpost Islamophobia reporter Rowaida Abdelaziz called the cover "incredibly dangerous" to New York-area Muslims and "grotesque."

A writer for The Atlantic caccused the New York Post of "amplifying racist propaganda."

Here's what happened: Omar downplayed the 9/11 attacks in a comment she made at an event held by the Hamas-tied Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR). She also dabbled in some conspiracy theories about the attack while she was at it.

That "something" had a death toll of almost 3,000 souls. Among those were 343 New York Firefighters, 37 Port Authority Police Officers, and 23 NYPD officers.

It shouldn't be remotely controversial to tell the truth about the deadliest terror attack ever perpetrated on American soil.
