WTF MSM!? Scalise's fault after all?

WTF MSM!? Scalise's fault after all?

Victim shaming 101

Scalise is an extremist … After being shot, and while convalescing, now Steve Scalise needs to listen to MSNBC’s Joy-Ann Reid say Scalise was guilty of “extremism” for holding mainstream conservative views and voting on them. PJ Media has the story. Now would be a helpful time to remind Reid that the shooter was apparently radicalized by media types calling the GOP “extreme.”

Pelley says shooting was “self-inflicted” … Not to be outdone, recently demoted Scott Pelley, over at CBS News, said that the shooting of Scalise was “to some degree self-inflicted.” Matt Vespa, writing at Townhall, has the story. The media just can’t see their complicity in ratcheting up the rhetoric.

“Rage machine” to blame … Former New York Times executive editor Jill Abramson said that a Republican “rage machine” is what is causing political polarization. NewsBusters has the story. Of course the media’s overt one-sidedness and labeling of conservatives as extreme has nothing to do with the polarization. To the media, those are just facts.

Wait, what?

Mueller hasn’t decided to investigate Trump … The entire media-industrial complex has been taking for gospel anything the Washington Post writes about the Russia “matter.” A new report from ABC calls that fawning into question. As Hot Air reports, ABC News is reporting that Mueller hasn’t decided – despite the Washington Post’s insistence – to investigate Donald Trump.

Are they investigating a hate crime or not? … Ashley Rae Goldenberg noticed something fishy about the Washington Post reporting on the apparent murder of a 17-year-old Muslim girl in Fairfax, Virginia. In the same Washington Post story the paper reported that police both are and are not treating it as a hate crime.

LOL NPR “fact” checking … Media fact checks are often devoid of actual facts. The people performing the checks use “experts,” then take those “expert” opinion as “fact.” NPR is no different. In the wake of the shooting by an apparent left-wing radical of a Republican baseball practice, NPR asked, “Is Left-Wing Violence Rising?” The chosen left-wing “expert” told NPR, “The far left is very active in the United States, but it hasn’t been particularly violent for some time.” The “expert” and NPR then go on to call anyone questioning this “fact” “far-right,” including Dana Loesch and the NRA. NewsBusters has the story.
