Eliana Benador: Shame on the World for Neglecting Israel

Israel's David is up against Goliath - not just Hamas, but all those around the world who condemn Israel's "disproportionate" response and ignore rising anti-Semitism.

Fourteen years ago, on Oct. 12, 2000, two civilian Israelis were lynched and brutally beaten and mutilated by a Palestinian mob in Ramallah, Samaria. Yosef Avrahami, a 38-year-old father of three; and Vadim Novesche, a 33-year-old newlywed. The perpetrators of “The Ramallah Lynching” were Palestinian Muslims.

Three years ago, “The Itamar Massacre” took place - a massacre perpetrated by Palestinian Muslim terrorists on a Shabbat night, while five members of the Fogel family were sleeping. They slaughtered father, mother and three children. Thankfully they did not realize that in another room two other siblings were sleeping. The sixth child was over at a family friends. The barbarians were particularly evil when they stabbed the body of tiny 3-month-old Hadassah Fogel 16 times before they decapitated her.

Perversely, the Hamas terrorists and the brains behind their devilish strategies, do not stop at anything. They are viciously circulating the photographs of this massacre, making the gullible believe the victims were Arabs who have been killed by Jews.

Fast forward to the night of Thursday, June 12, 2014. Hamas terrorists kidnapped three Yeshiva students. Fruitless searches in order to locate the abducted teens - Eyal Yifrah, Gilad Sha'er and American-born Naftali Frenkel - ended when their bodies were found northwest of Hebron. It was discovered they were murdered shortly after their abduction.

Did the world, the United Nations, or the anti-American President Barack Hussein Obama condemn such monstrosities? No.

Needless to say, terrorist attacks have happened in Israel in between the above mentioned tragedies.

When terrorist attacks are told in abstract, their impact among readers may not be obvious, so let's compare the number of Israeli victims of terrorist attacks during 2000-2010 and the proportional equivalent had those attacks happened in America: 1,200 Israelis killed during that period would correspond to 50,297 Americans; while the 8,342 wounded would be equal to 350,000 Americans.

Obama and the United Nations

Does President Obama even care about the evidence proving that Hamas deliberately puts Palestinian civilians in danger or that they hide weapons and missile launchers in densely populated areas?

Do the U.N. or Obama show outrage at the many tunnels Hamas has built under some areas in Israel and the plans they had to invade and attack the country during Rosh Hashanah, which we will celebrate in a few months?

Does the “civilized world” condemn Hamas for sending women and children directly into the line of fire to be used either as human bombs or as human shields in their terrorist attacks?

Last week, the White House condemned the shelling of a United Nations school in Gaza that had been sheltering a number of displaced Palestinians - but what are these schools really used for?

The Truth about the United Nations Schools in Gaza

Back in 1949, as a response to the Arab issues after the independence of modern Israel, the U.N. created a special agency: The United Nations Relief and Works Agency. The agency has received billions in funds from Western democratic nations members. It was created as an emergency help to half a million Arabs in the wake of the Arab-Israeli war.

The agency spends over $500 million on schools. Part of that budget is destined to pay an impressive contingent of 10,000 teachers.

What's worrisome, however, is that UNRWA schools have chosen to use the venomous texts from their host, the Palestinian Authority, which teach the right of return, rejected by Jews because of the threat represented by a massive Muslim demographic. When interviewed, United Nations school students share what they learn: “I will liberate my country with Allah’s help. They are our enemies [the Jews]. We will kill Jews.”

During the last several years, Dr. Arnun Groiss, a Jerusalem researcher has conducted an intense examination of Palestinian textbooks used by UNRWA.

He believes that the Palestinian Authority together with UNRWA have created a curriculum for war. And he advances that the mission of the Palestinian education is represented in the denial of legitimacy, demonizing description of the other while no peace with the other is advocated.

Non recognition is silently promoted through demonization. No peace advocacy is muted by the emphasis on armed struggle while proliferation has no geographical limit.

As a conclusion, advocates Groiss, it’s a curriculum of suspended war. It is not a curriculum for peace.

Disproportionate Response?

Day in day out, the Hamas machine has been indiscriminately attacking Israeli civilians and neither the American president nor the international community have voiced their condemnation.

Now, more than three weeks later, over 2,825 rockets have been launched on Israeli families: newborns, children, elderly, disabled, sick. Sirens have been alerting the population, who in some cases barely have 15 seconds to take refuge before a rocket would potentially land in their midst.

The Hamas terrorists have fired rockets into their own civilian areas, also against Ben Gurion airport, the only one serving the country. In that case, the American president did not hesitate in suspending flights to Tel Aviv. Hamas on their part hastily welcomed Obama’s gesture as a sign of their “great victory.” The United States lifted that ban the next day.

There is a lesson on “disproportionate response,” that should be drawn by Israel from the front page of the New York Times on May 10, 1943, whose headline read: “Warsaw Ghetto Uprising: An Over Reaction... European leaders blame Jews for disproportionate response.”

In hindsight, the human tragedy of the Holocaust proved that, far from disproportionate, the Jewish response was meek.

Anti-Semitism is constantly rising and the lenient Israeli leadership can no longer negotiate. They are now against the wall, doing the only thing that is left to do before another regrettable mass murder against Jews occurs. They are finally defending the land and the people of Israel.

World Psychological Terrorism

Still fresh in our memories is how the world has gleefully accepted calls for the destruction of Israel and the subsequent abusive treatment of Jews in their land and throughout the world by the now forgotten Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, but taken up by his successors.

However, as a result of this asymmetrical war, with its heartbreaking contrasts, social scientists and war strategists will not be able to ignore the birth of a new variant of terrorism, to be known henceforth as “world psychological terrorism” perpetrated against a whole country and its entire population.

History is repeating and once again, world leaders are tacitally approving the mishandling of Jews.

It is hidden in everyday details. "Disruption on the Israeli tramways" is how some describe violent, rock-throwing, tire-burning riots in which people pull up and burn the light rail tracks and leave their hate-filled messages: "Death to the Jews" and "Death to Israel" in the burned-out shells of several train stations.

At every rocket alert, in the middle of the night, we search for cover in the stairwells, we carry our little children to safety while they cry. Our forests have been set afire. And while the world watches indifferently, rockets and missiles are falling by the thousands on my people.

They have bombed the city and the country we love and that were given by G-d to us. They are kidnapping our precious children, and they are making us run for safety.

In other countries, under these circumstances, this at least would have been condemned as "violations of human rights" by the United Nations and by Obama. But not in the case of Israel.

Does the world care? No.

So, it is my right to call it "world psychological terrorism."

It is being perpetrated against my people, the Jews, and our land, Israel.

Shame on the world.

Why?

At this point, the pieces of a puzzle may well fall where they belong.

A globalist anti-American president has joined ranks with the globalizing agency par excellence, the United Nations. Their goal? Turn this world into a global unique supremacist superpower which they seem to be unabashedly promoting: Muslim world domination.

Now the subhumans have the upper hand thanks to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, a former Israeli elite fighter who has believed in a ceasefire and gave Hamas the opportunity to kidnap an Israeli Defense Force Officer, Hadar Golin ben Chedvah Leah.

As I write these lines, I fight tears of revolt learning that sirens are once again going off all over southern Israel.

As our Holy Shabbat is about to begin, I bow to God and pray asking for His Blessings for the safety of my people, the Jews in Israel and worldwide.
