Here are two editorials worth reading if you're interested in New Jersey politics and the reform administration of Chris Christie. On Friday, Christie fired his education commissioner (Bret Schundler) for mistakes on the state's Race to the Top application. Christie accuses Schundler of lying. Schundler says Christie is lying. Few have been willing to side with Schundler--until now.
Star-Ledger editorial: "Schundler's exit: Embarrassing episode of incompetence and division in the Christie administration"
Alfred P. Doblin, editorial page editor of The Record: "Bret Schundler has left the building"
I think both share fault. But we'll probably never know how everything truly went down.
Full disclosure: Schundler was my professor at The King's College.
