Christie on 2012 Prez Run: 'I'm Not Ready

"It's absolutely not me."

Appearing on CNBC's "Squawk Box" this morning, NJ Gov. Chris Christie did not leave the door open for a 2012 presidential run, saying that "it's absolutely not me," and "I'm not ready."

But as Business Insider points out, the door may have been left open for something in 2016:

It's a little surprising. He could have easily just said something like "I'm focused on fixing New Jersey, and can't speculate on future political plans." He also says he doesn't want it that bad.

So does not wanting it "that bad" mean he wants it a little? Maybe he has an "itch" -- and maybe the scratching might not be appropriate now, but it could be come 2016. Is it ever too early to speculate?
