The Slate posted a "Separated At Birth?" slideshow this morning with Libyan Dictator Qaddafi compared alongside Mick Jagger, Mickey Rourke, John Travolta and 15 other boldface names.
I actually thought one or two of the comparisons worthy of a smirk, but the entire piece jumped the 'S-@-B' shark for me when the author tried to reach a bit too far comparing Col. Qaddafi to the Olsen Twins, Liza Minelli and Kim Jong il. Come on Slate... just because someone is photographed wearing the same hat or uniform as Qaddafi, doesn't make for a valid separated-at-birth doppelgänger. Then again, I may just be upset that my personal choice of Steven Segal was not included.
Slap a beret on this brilliant actor's dome and he oozes Qaddafi, no?
Please email any and all suggestions for casting the in a soon-to-be-pitched "Qaddafi' bio-pic that will no doubt be seen during weekends and slow news day on al-Jazeera TV.
