Where there's a controversial figure, there will also be Fox News with a contract. The latest one goes to former South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford. You'll remember him as the guy who oddly went missing, only to be found cheating on his wife with his Argentinian "soul mate."
Fox has signed Sanford as a paid contributor to comment on the 2012 election, according to the New York Times. It isn't known what the contract is worth.
Before the scandal in 2009, Sanford was seen as a rising star in the Republican Party with serious presidential potential. Those dreams were dashed, but he can now join the long list of "hot" Fox personalities such as Donald Trump ("birther"), Sarah Palin ("death panels") and Oliver North (Iran-Contra affair).
