Naked Thief Taken Down by Police Dog After Bailing From Stolen Hummer Limo

"We cannot tell you why he was not wearing clothes."

It's not everyday you see a man steal a Hummer limousine. And it's especially rare to see the thief then bail from the vehicle and run naked through the streets. And finally, the odds would really be stacked against you if you saw that man get taken down by a police dog. However, that's exactly the video we have for you.

The incident happened recently in Irvine, California. The Daily Mail explains:

Somewhere along the drive, the man had removed his clothes - as he jumped out the car fully naked.

‘He came to a stop, he’s bailed,’ an officer is heard saying as he watches the man from the helicopter. Then, in shock, he adds: ‘He’s naked!’

Waving his arms, the alleged thief sprinted through a residential area but was promptly captured by a police dog, who tackled him to the ground.

The German Shepherd managed to hold the man at bay until two officers restrained him and took him away.

The man was the lone occupant of the vehicle.

'Only the driver was in the limousine when the man pointed a gun at him,'Irvine police spokeswoman Lieutenant Julia Engen told MailOnline.

He immediately got out and turned the car over.

'We alerted nearby authorities and turned the pursuit over to the California Highways Patrol when the vehicle went into the area of Whittier.

'We cannot tell you why he was not wearing clothes. All we know is that he was wearing them at the original crime so took them off along the way.'
