Given that Mitt Romney usually eats turkey, rice and broccoli (occasionally eating pizza without the cheese), it must be a shock to his system campaigning in the deep South where butter, batter and gravy are staples at the dinner table.
And also, learning the lingo.
At an event in Mississippi today, [Romney] greeted the crowd at the Farmer's Market in Jackson by saying "Morning, y'all" and proclaiming he had "a biscuit and some cheesy grits" for breakfast.
"I'm learning to say ya'll and I like grits," Romney joked. "Strange things are happening to me."
Yes they are, Mitt.
