Sessions says without a budget, American people should not send 'another dime to this place

Senate Democrats made it official yesterday that they would go three years in a row without producing a budget.

Their Republican counterparts were predictably displeased.

In a statement Wednesday, Senate Budget Committee Ranking Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions called the move "a national embarrassment." On Thursday, Sen. Sessions blasted Democrats on the floor for their refusal to bring a budget for vote.

"You can spin it anyway you want to, but the Democratic majority in the Senate is incapable of uniting behind a plan that the American people would see as credible," Sen. Sessions said.

"If you won’t tell the American people where you’re going to spend the money, how much debt you’re going to run up, how much spending you’re going to cut or not cut, then I don’t think the American people ought to send another dime to this place," Sen. Sessions went on to say. "Not another dime.”
