Obama: 'Sometimes I forget' about the recession; GOP pounces

The Romney campaign ads write themselves these days...

Indeed, it didn't take long for the Romney camp to respond to Obama's comments, made during a Seattle fundraiser on Thursday:

It’s not surprising that a president who forgot to create jobs, forgot to cut the debt, and forgot to change Washington has now admitted that he’s forgotten about the recession. In fact, it seems that the President has forgotten that he’s been in office for the last three-and-a-half years. In November, the American people won’t forget.

And in this day & age of instant media, here's the GOP's official response, released this morning: President Obama might forget the recession, but America hasn't.
