Couric wants to interview Palin again

Katie Couric's not-at-all highly-anticipated daytime talk show is set to debut this fall and Couric is hoping Sarah Palin will sit down for a chat with her.

"She has an open invitation to come talk to me," Couric said during a stop Monday in Orlando. "I'm not sure she'd be interested, but she'd certainly be welcome. She's a fascinating figure not only on the political scene but in popular culture."

I'd say there's no chance in bad TV hell Palin would talk with Couric after that infamous "what do you read" interview during the 2008 election but Palin is wildly unpredictable in her relationship with the "lame stream" media.

Palin sat down with Oprah to promote her first book in 2009, she wrote an op-ed for Newsweek earlier this year and she even co-hosted an edition of "Today" in April.

Let's keep our fingers crossed for this to happen.
