On a local New York TV show last night, former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzercommented on all the rumors swirling around that Anthony Weiner is plotting a political comeback.
“I think that’s a personal decision,” Spitzer said when asked if Weiner should jump back into politics. “I think next year is maybe a little short. But the public’s tolerance for this is something that he will only determine by whether he floated this intentionally a not, who knows? I kind of doubt it. I mean, probably a little too short but the public will have to make that decision.”
Like Weiner, Spitzer's own political career was rocked by a sex scandal in 2008, prematurely ending his governorship.
