F**k Chick-fil-A': Glee Star Jane Lynch Blasts Fast Food Chain During Comedy Central Roast of Roseanne Barr

"This show is serving up more old spoiled hens than a Chick-fil-A."

Actress Jane Lynch held the title of "Roast Master" during the Comedy Central Roast of Roseanne Barr on Saturday, and she used her platform to slam Chick-fil-A for its recent decision to back traditional marriage, the Huffington Post reports.

Prior to introducing Barr, Lynch dished out a few obligatory jabs at some of the scheduled roasters, including Carrie Fisher, Katey Sagal and Ellen Barkin.

Poking fun at the woman-heavy lineup, Lynch quipped: "This show is serving up more old spoiled hens than a Chick-fil-A. Oh, that reminds me... F*ck Chick-fil-A."

HuffPo referred to the Atlanta-based restaurant chain as "anti-gay" and explains that the crowd erupted in "riotous laugher and applause" following the joke. We have to take their word for it because the event will not air until August 12 at 10 p.m. ET.

More from HuffPo:

Lynch, serving as Roast Master for the evening in her first-ever roast appearance, married her partner Dr. Lara Embry in 2010, and she detailed her story of coming out in the 2011 memoir Happy Accidents.

The comedic actress was, of course, not the only roaster to take aim at a current controversy; Jeffrey Ross, who is referred to as the Roastmaster General and has his own roast-themed show The Burn debuting on Comedy Central on August 14, arrived on the red carpet dressed as Joe Paterno. The comedian explained that if the outfit offended anyone "They can do what Joe Paterno did – look the other way.”

In addition to the edgy Paterno stunt, Ross also joked about the Aurora, Colo. shooting, which left 12 people dead and dozens more injured after shooter James Holmes opened fire at a screening of "The Dark Knight Rises" last month.

EntertainmentWeekly.com reports that Ross addressed Seth Green, who is naturally red-headed, and said: "Congratulations, this is actually a really big night for you. You haven't gotten this much attention since you shot all those people in Aurora."

But even after the initial joke received "a resounding ohhhhh" from the audience, Ross doubled down. "I’m kidding!" he said. "You’re not like James Holmes. At least he’s doing something in a movie theater that people remember."
