Take a 3-Minute 'Tour of Light' Through L.A. With This Stunning Time-Lapsed Video

Say what you will about Los Angeles smog and traffic congestion, but you might think differently after viewing the City of Angels through this "tour of light."

Filmmaker Colin Rich posted this three-minute time-lapsed walk through L.A., in which he made an effort to "capture and accentuate the movement of light through the day and night" using multiple motion control techniques.

Given the city's expanse, Rich writes on his Vimeo description of the short film that he shot from many different angles to give the feel of the whole city and its many different elements.

"Usually I was able to capture just one shot per day with a lot of driving, exploring, and scouting in between but the times sitting in traffic or a 'sketchy' neighborhood often lead to new adventures and interesting places," he wrote.
