In the latest ad from Florida Congressman Allen West, the GOP incumbent draws a clear line between himself and his opponent, Democratic challenger Patrick Murphy. To demonstrate just how stark the contrasts are, West's 30-second spot points to Murphy's 2003 arrest at a South Beach bar and altercation with a police officer.
While Murphy was drunkenly brawling in a bar and harassing the cops, where was Col. Allen West?
Watch to find out:
Boom. Roasted.
This is one of the best political ads I've seen in a long time. I know which of these guys I'd vote for to represent me in Washington. Hopefully Florida voters are paying attention.
Fox News' Sean Hannity discussed the ad over the weekend:
Polling in West's district has widely varying margins of victory for both candidates. The latest survey, taken by the Democratic firm Garin-Hart-Yang Research, finds West trailing Murphy by 9 points (52-43). Meanwhile, West's internals have him leading by 9 points and a GOP poll has West up by 4.
