David Frum reads TheBlaze

Though "reads" might not be completely accurate, The Daily Beast's David Frum at least looks at TheBlaze.

In a blog post Frum wrote that "It's Official: The Blaze and Pravda Agree on Obama!" He was referring to our lead story on the front page today in which we quoted a columnist who called President Obama a "communist" in the Russian newspaper Pravda.

Frum wrote:

Glenn Beck's The Blaze and Pravda both agree that President Obama is a dangerous communist. ...

Of course, in the olden days, we knew what to think of Americans who quoted extensively from Pravda - right, Comrade Beck?

Our story was actually authored by Tiffany Gabbay, not Glenn Beck, our publisher who rarely contributes anything in writing to the site. This would be like TheBlaze attributing any story on The Daily Beast to its publisher Tina Brown. And, as Tiffany wrote in an update on our story, none of us actually called Obama a communist. We simply noted the irony in a columnist calling Obama a communist in a paper straight out of the former Soviet Union.

But we won't ask Tina what she has to say about it.
