MSNBC's Goldie Taylor calls out Matt Drudge over n-word headline

On MSNBC's Martin Bashir today, one of the news channel's regular contributors, Goldie Taylor, took issue with the headline on the Drudge Report this morning.

"If I live 1,000 years, [Drudge Editor] Matt Drudge will never become an arbiter for me of what is racially unacceptable in this country," she said. "I think that his site and those that he feeds to and from-- links to and from... I think they peddle this stuff on a daily basis and they do it to line their own pockets. And I just don't give that kind of credibility to a Matt Drudge."

The front page of the Drudge Report this morning featured a photo of movie maker Quentin Tarantino over the text "n*gger" (repeated seven times). It linked to a review of the Tarantino movie Djano Unchained, which stars actor Jamie Foxx.

Foxx recently made news in the conservative media for describing the movie in a monologue on Saturday Night Live last weekend. "I kill all the white people in the movie. How great is that?" he joked.

Taylor also commented on Foxx's SNL monologue, saying it only made news because the "far right fringe" doesn't like that "there's a black man in the White House."

"They would like to secede," Taylor said. "And let me tell you, it isn't because of socialism that they'd like to secede. It's because the man in the White house is black."
