This Is Why You Couldn't Do Your Taxes Using TurboTax Sunday Night

"Of all the times to stop working!"

Those waiting until close to the last minute to file their taxes using the popular service TurboTax might have had a bit of a panic Sunday evening when the website went down. It even appeared that TurboTax was taunting users for a short while on Twitter.

People took to Twitter and Facebook to complain about the issue last night:

All the while Turbo Tax was posting tweets like this:

It turns out Turbo Tax had scheduled tweets before it realized its site was experiencing problems. After it received a slew of notifications from users about the issue, TurboTax alerted those in panic that it was aware of the outage. Within an hour or so after beginning to experience problems, the tax preparation service was back online.

The deadline to file individual tax returns is April 15.
