Watch and Weep: Here's a Video of People Signing a Petition to Repeal the Bill of Rights

“You just helped us repeal the Bill of Rights. Thanks, bro.”

Author and activist Mark Dice on Monday released what may very well be the most depressing “man on the street” video for 2013 (possibly beating “College Kids Who Don’t Know U.S. History”).

In Dice’s new video, he successfully encourages a group of California beachgoers to sign a petition calling for the repeal the Bill of Rights.

You know, to help President Barack Obama streamline government and all that.

But what do we know about the man behind the video?

Well, to put it plainly, he’s ... interesting.

A noted 9/11 truther and Illuminati enthusiast, Dice has been featured in documentaries including Invisible Empire, The 9/11 Chronicles, and has been featured on the History Channel's Decoded, Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura, and the Sundance Channel's Love/Lust: Secret Societies.

Note: We had an extended discussion about this story and what we know about Mark Dice on Tuesday's BlazeCast with Editor-in-Chief Scott Baker:

Despite his controversial background, though, that doesn't make the video any less depressing.

Watch and weep:

Look, we understand that in public settings some people will sign just about anything so long as the person with the clipboard goes away (Lord knows we’ve done it before).

But -- come on -- repealing the Bill of Rights?
