An Up-Close Look at the Ruins of Detroit and the People Fighting to Keep the City Together

"Saving Detroit."

Detroit, the onetime industrial heart of the United States, is in a bad way.

The city is broke, its public services have been stripped to the bare necessities, its population is dwindling, and there's even has a feral dog epidemic.

But even with all these problems, some of Detroit's long-time residents refuse to give up on their home.

A new 14-minute video from Frontlines, a project of the NRA, takes viewers inside the battered city to show firsthand how bad things have become in "Saving Detroit."

But it's not all grim. "Saving Detroit" also shows the city's good side: people who are working hard to keep their neighborhoods safe and their communities functioning.
