CBS News: Florida Woman Dropped From Her Insurance Will Now Pay 10 Times More for New Plan

"When I got this bill, I was outraged."

A Florida woman recently dropped from her health insurance plan said she's been told she will have to pay nearly 10 times more for new coverage under the new health care law.

"When I got this bill, I was outraged," 56-year-old Florida resident Diane Barrett told CBS News.

She will go from paying $54 per month to $591 per month under the Affordable Care Act, CBS reported.

According to CBS, at least 300,000 people in Florida are losing their existing coverage under Obamacare -- something directly at odds with President Barack Obama's repeated assurances that if you like your coverage, you can keep it.

"What I have right now is what I'm happy with, and I just want to know why I can't keep what I have," Barrett said. "Why do I have to be forced into something else?"
