On CNN's "New Day" Wednesday, anchor Chris Cuomo pressed Ted Cruz on the Republican senator's effort to defund Obamacare, asking him if he thought he should "do better" in offering alternative health care legislation.
"Well, I appreciate your trying to lecture me in the morning, thank you for that," Cruz replied.
"No, not at all, Senator," Cuomo said. "I'm worried. The same as you. Anybody who looks at the situation has worries."
Cruz rebutted by asking Cuomo if he was one to "speak out" for Americans who lost their existing health insurance as Obamacare was implemented.
"We've been covering it doggedly," Cuomo said, "and you know that. I'm sure you watch the show. The problem is I don't have the power to fix it. You do. ... It's not a lecture, it's a concern."
