94-Year-Old Minnesota Man Has No Plans to Stop Hunting

"If you see something, shoot it. Don't wait. You might not get another chance."

Paul Sersha is 94-years-old — but he won't allow his old age to prevent him from hunting.

The Minnesota man, who first hunted a deer around 1935, says he continues to plan on doing so for as long as he physically can.

"My sight is good," he said, according to The Associated Press. "My hearing is good. My only trouble, the last three or four years, is arthritis."

Nonetheless, Sersha has still proved to be a deadly force. The 94-year-old went hunting as recently as this month, shooting a deer on opening day of Minnesota's firearms deer season.

"My head was on a swivel, looking one way, then the other, slow," Sersha said. "One came out of the woods. I put my gun up, got the cross hairs on it, and that was it."

He used the same gun he has used since 1958, a Remington bolt-action .30-'06 purchased for just $59, according to the Associated Press. He also used the same advice his dad gave to him all those years ago to snag the deer.

"Like my dad told me," Sersha said. "If you see something, shoot it. Don't wait. You might not get another chance."
