Sunday’s 71st annual Golden Globe awards ceremony was a glitzy and self-congratulatory affair, something we’ve come to expect from these trivial, over-the-top spectacles.
And it wasn't without drama: Just ask Jacqueline Bisset.
From Ben Affleck reportedly giving a speech while drunk to Emma Thompson slurring through her address to Hollywood’s elite, it appeared that several of the attendees checked off alcohol as their “plus one” on their invites.
But then there was Bisset.

See, many have written off the behavior of Affleck and Thompson as a simply case of "one drink too many."
But Bisset? Her acceptance speech was a rambling mess of start-overs, heavy breathing and stammering -- and it happened just 10 minutes into the awards show.
The actress, who won a Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Miniseries, or TV Movie award for her role in "Dancing on the Edge," gave a speech that was far from coherent, let alone graceful or poignant.
It was about the point where the band tried to play her off stage for a second time that you knew her acceptance speech was officially a train wreck:
