This 8-Year-Old Boy Finished a Triathlon — But He Didn't Do It Alone

A true story of brotherly love.

His brother may not be able to walk or even talk, but 8-year-old Noah Aldrich thinks he's "perfect."

“I like everything about him,” he told KTVB-TV. “He’s perfect.”

Noah's brother, 6-year-old Lucas, was born with lissencephaly, a rare crippling brain condition that limits mobility and lifespan, but his Boise, Idaho family has never let his condition get in the way of an active lifestyle, they told KTVB.

So when Noah told his mom that he wanted to take Lucas along on a kids' triathlon, she was supportive.

Noah pulled his brother on a bicycle...

...pushed him in a stroller...

...and even towed him in an inflatable raft.

When the brothers crossed the triathlon finish line last month, it was a triumph for the whole family.

The Aldrich family hopes to turn their experience into help for other families through the Lucas House, a charitable organization serving children with life-threatening conditions.
