It's either an age before children are aware of the state of their own body parts, an age where they trust their parents implicitly and couldn't imagine them lying for a good laugh, or a combination of both.
Either way, factors like these led to the "priceless" reaction Jesse Fulcher's son had when he fell victim to the old "Daddy took my ear and nose" trick — the one where said stolen body part takes the form of a thumb between the trickster's middle and pointer finger.
Here's how it went down in the little boy's case:
1) Dad asked permission and permission was granted to remove the ear.
2) Instant alarm ensued on the little boy's part at the sight of his "ear" in his dad's hand.
3) All was made right after when dad "reattached" the ear.
4) Repeat all of the above but with the nose.
That's right, the little boy went back for more even after his first experience.
Check it out:
"That's so messed up," the boy's mom said between giggles.
