They Gathered Around for a Gender Unveiling Party, But Inside the Box Was a Very Different Surprise

A soldier who had recently returned home from Afghanistan surprised his family this week in a creative way.

Patrick Conway returned home for Christmas to see his expectant wife.

His brother, Mather, opted to surprise the rest of the family by hosting a gender unveiling party and sat their parents down on the couch. The family expected to see either a blue balloon or pink balloon float out of the box to denote the baby’s gender.

However, a green balloon floated to the top, seemingly perplexing the family. Moments later, Patrick jumped out of the box.

“I’m so glad to see you!” his mother says as she embraces her son.
