Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump blasted a lawyer who had criticized him Wednesday, arguing she misrepresented a 2011 incident where it was reported he called her "disgusting" over a request she made to pump breast milk for her 3-month-old.
Trump said the lawyer, Elizabeth Beck, was simply trying to take revenge on him because he defeated her in court years ago. Trump said her claim he called her "disgusting" for wanting to pump breast milk for her daughter was significantly misrepresented in the media and called it "disgraceful."
Instead, the real-estate billionaire said he was upset that Beck wanted to pump breast milk in front of him while in the middle of a deposition. He said she never asked to pause for a break as was reported in a Tuesday New York Times story.
"She wanted to breast pump in front of me and I may have said that's disgusting, I may have said something else. I thought it was terrible," Trump told CNN. "She's a vicious, horrible person."
The current Republican frontrunner said Beck had fabricated her claim that he had "an absolute meltdown" after she made the request.
"She made it up. She made it up," Trump told CNN. "She's saying, 'Oh, he was so violent and he was so, so wild and she was afraid.' She was afraid of nobody. She's a tough killer in Miami everyone knows she's a killer. They all hate her."
