Bernie Sanders' Twitter Followers Trash Nancy Reagan After He Honors the Former First Lady
March 06, 2016
"Good riddance, says I."
Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders' Twitter followers did not take kindly to his tribute honoring Nancy Reagan following her death Sunday at age 94.
The Democratic presidential candidate decided to honor Reagan, whom he called "an exemplary first lady," adding that "she had a good heart" and "will be dearly missed" on Twitter Sunday afternoon.
Despite his kind words, Sanders' Twitter followers expressed their outrage at his tribute, explaining why they disliked Nancy Reagan and were glad that she had passed away.
