A Thai man is recovering in a hospital after a 10-foot python slithered up through the plumbing and latched onto his penis as he sat on the toilet.
On Wednesday, Attaporn Boonmakchuay, 38, battled the snake for 30 minutes before he managed to extract himself from its grasp, according to CBS News.

Boonmakchuay was aided by his wife and his neighbor, who tried to assist him after hearing his screams for help. Boonmakchuay’s wife tied a rope around the snake while he pried its jaws open.
He then passed out.

Boonmakchuay was taken to the hospital, where he is expected to recover from the bloody incident.
The hospital director, Dr. Chutima Pincharoen, said that Boonmakchuay “has a really good attitude.”
“Even though his own wife and children were in shock, he's been smiling and giving interviews all day from his bed," Pincharoen said.
