Massachusetts Police Are Not Fooled by This Fugitive's Elaborate Disguise

"At that point, officers pulled off Miller's realistic disguise and placed him under arrest."

Police surrounded the home of a 31-year-old fugitive, but the man they encountered looked nothing like the description they had.

The suspected drug dealer they found didn't look like the young Shaun Miller they were expecting. Instead, the police were met with an elderly man — or so they thought, at first glance.

"Upon further investigation, officers determined that the 'elderly man' was in fact Miller,'" Yarmouth police said in a statement about the ordeal. "At that point, officers pulled off Miller's realistic disguise and placed him under arrest."

Along with the disguised man, police said they seized two loaded weapons and nearly $30,000 in cash. Miller had been on the run since April, when he was charged with heroin trafficking offenses, BBC News reported.

The accused criminal was just one of more than a dozen named in the federal drug trafficking indictment at the time. Miller was detained on a charge of possession of heroin with the intent to distribute.

James Cipoletta, Miller's attorney, said his client denies all charges and will plead not guilty. He is slated to appear Aug. 31 at U.S. District Court in Boston.
