Tiger Woods' DUI arrest video is released and it is worse than anyone imagined

Tiger Woods' DUI arrest video was obtained and released by TMZ on Thursday night, and in the video, Woods can barely string together a coherent sentence let alone walk a straight line.

Woods was arrested by local law enforcement in Jupiter, Fla., on Monday morning under suspicion of DUI.

The famed golfer was taken into custody at 3 a.m. and was booked at 7:18 a.m. Woods was released from police custody several hours later.

Woods was found in his vehicle, asleep behind the wheel. While law enforcement initially believed Woods to be driving under the influence of alcohol, he passed the breathalyzer test with a 0.00. It was later determined that a mix of prescription medications caused his mental and physical disorientation behind the wheel.

According to the video, Woods can be heard slurring his speech while speaking to arresting officers. Woods was also almost entirely out of it, asking the officers several times to remind him what they were doing.

The golfer told law enforcement that he was in Los Angeles and headed north to Orange County, despite being in Florida and just eight miles from his home.

“I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved. What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. I didn’t realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly," Woods said in a statement after news spread of his arrest.

Apologizing to family, friends and fans, Woods added, "I expect more from myself, too. ... I will do everything in my power to ensure this never happens again.”
