MSNBC "Morning Joe" co-host Mika Brzezinski went on a rambling rant against President Donald Trump on Thursday, comparing former President Bill Clinton's sex scandal to her perception of Trump's lack of "decency."
"I know that you're ... on the edge of your seat as I talk about this," Brzezinski began, directly addressing co-host Joe Scarborough. "I ... I know what I'm trying to say here, and I'll try and give you a parallel to help you understand: What Bill Clinton did to the issue of sex to an entire generation, I believe this president is doing on issues of decency, on issues of conspiracy theories, on issues of fake news."
She concluded her comments by saying, "I think it's that simple and we're desensitized if we even argue it."
Brzezinski's comments came after the MSNBC panel interviewed Rep. Mark Sanford (R-S.C.), who described the "surreal" atmosphere on Capitol Hill after Wednesday's shooting at a GOP congressional baseball practice in Alexandria, Virginia.
During the interview, Sanford called for forced bipartisanship for the sake of unity and said that Trump was "partially to blame" for rising national hostilities and tensions.
