An Antifa member in caught on video in Seattle during a protest railed against leftists and non-violent protesters for not engaging in violence against neo-Nazis.
During a protest held earlier in August, a right-wing protest group called Patriot Prayer gathered in a Seattle park to demonstrate for the Solidarity Against Hate March.
According to the march's event page, it was designed to combat hate on all avenues:
Seattle has hosted a few too many hateful, violent, far-right extremist rallies this year. Again, far-right extremists will converge on Westlake Park in Seattle on August 13th.The same violent, street-fighting crews that have been hopping from Vancouver, WA to Portland, OR to Seattle, WA and back again are expected to be principle participants in this event. When they come, they bring violence, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and Islamophobia (among other forms of bigotry) to our town.
Antifa members did show up to the march, armed to the teeth with weaponry and shields, but when they found that they couldn't rally progressives and leftists in a call to arms, they got verbally combative.
“I didn’t create a debate, because that’s not why we’re here,” a female Antifa member said on camera. “I’m from Charlottesville, Virginia. I walk the street that mowed down that woman every single day for 13 years. I’ve worked in Charlottesville, I had all my friends in Charlottesville, I booked shows in Charlottesville, I know the woman who was hit and killed by Nazis.”
"We fight f***ing Nazis,” the woman said. “We punch them, we hurt them, we prevent them from having a platform.”
To progressives who refused to engage in violence, the woman blasted, “You failed us. All of you who stood by when we were like, ‘Please, please follow us. The Nazis are that way!’ F**k your f***ing Constitution, f**k your liberal Bernie bulls**t. We are here to fight Nazis."
