Actor Stephen Baldwin rips his brother Alec for signing petition protesting Georgia abortion bill

Love will ultimately win

Actor Stephen Baldwin called out his actor brother Alec Baldwin over the latter's protest against the passage of Georgia's heartbeat bill.

Georgia H.B. 481 would prohibit the majority of abortions as early as six weeks from conception. Current state law permits abortions up to 20 weeks. Abortions after six weeks would be permitted in cases such as incest, physical emergency, rape, and any pregnancies considered "medically futile."

On Friday, the Georgia House of Representatives approved the abortion bill by a vote of 92 to 78. The bill awaits Republican Gov. Brian Kemp's signature. The governor has said that he will sign the bill into law.

"Georgia values life," Kemp said of the bill. "We stand up for the innocent and speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. The Legislature's bold action reaffirms our priorities and who we are as a state."

Alec Baldwin was one of the many leftist celebrities — which included Alyssa Milano, Amy Schumer, and Rosie O'Donnell — who signed a petition lambasting the bill and threatening to pull future studio production out of the state if the bill became law.

What did Stephen say?

On Monday, Stephen — the youngest Baldwin brother at 52— tweeted, "[A]voided tweets like this long as I could now to overwhelming Love will ultimately wins Jesus but for so long I've sat back & trusted God as my own family members have perpetrated the spirit of hate ... through abortion Mockery & blindness #sad #Alec #hates #pray."

He also added a series of hashtags, writing, "#Hollywood #sad #goingtohell #pray."

Stephen later responded to Twitter users' questions about his more liberal side of the family.

He wrote, "[I]t's the so called Christians that hate the haters most ... but what does our bible say ??? More so called believers ask me all the time 'what are we gunna do about those brothers of yours & I always say ... "Gods got them & you're praying for them yes ?"
